Instructions
- Click Start Assessment to begin.
- The audio recording of a medical case scenario will play once only. You cannot pause or replay it.
- As soon as the audio begins, the timer starts. You have 90 seconds to write out the key information in the textbox.
- You will begin typing after the template: "Patient is a 30 year old female/male who presents to the ED complaining of ***".
- If the 90 seconds expires, your transcription will be automatically submitted.
Important Notes:
- This assessment is designed to evaluate how well you can listen and identify key, pertinent information from the scenario you hear.
- You are not expected to transcribe every single word. Paraphrasing is encouraged as long as the essential information is accurately captured.
- Use complete sentences. Do not use bullet points, lists, or shorthand.
- You are not being tested on medical knowledge, HPI (history of present illness) writing, or any formal scribing techniques.
- The goal is to assess how effectively you can extract important details from what is said and express them clearly and accurately in writing.
- If time allows, feel free to revise or edit your sentences for clarity.
- Reminder: The audio will play once only. Be prepared to listen attentively from the beginning.
- Scenario 2 is available if you require a practice round or second try. You have 50 seconds for Scenario 2.
